The game is released on PlayStaion 4 and Microsoft Windows in March 2017. Later on it released for Nintendo Switch in 2018. In the game, Suppose to control the slugcat and to survive it from negligent and antagonistic world. The game is characterized a simulated ecosystem. He designed Rain World’s enemies to live their lives. They hunt for food and struggle to survive instead of serving as obstacles for the player. The developer expects to player to avoid combat and play the game primarily through stealth and flight.

Gameplay

The main character of the game “Rain World Steamunlocked” is Slugcat. It uses spears and rocks to survive in an aggressive ruined and irrational 2D world. The player gets a little clear guidance then he will be freed to explore the world. The Slugcat moves freely, jump, swim and climb poles to avoid enemies. The Slugcat tries to foraging for sparse food to hibernate in scarce, designated safe rooms. If the player does not reach the hibernation point before the end of the day cycle, a crushing rain will pour. It makes sure that Slugcat dies through drowning.

If Slugcat has not eaten sufficient food, it will not hibernate normally. It will become Sluggish through starvation, So it has to eat enough to return to normal. Otherwise it will starve to death if once the cycle ends through hibernation. Player loses a karma point which are indicated at the bottom of the screen. Karma can gain through successful hibernation. Players can also shield their karma level by eating a yellow karma flower. After the death of Slugcat, flower appears in set location.

Enemies founded in game ranged from camouflaged plants to large vultures to Komodo dragon like lizards and aquatic creatures. Slugcat dies at one hit. Some species have different variation with different abilities. So, player faces problems. Rain World Steamunlocked game offers little guide to player.
